Flats... to go!

I constantly am having my boyfriend carry me (yes, I am serious, there have been quite a few piggyback rides through the streets of Boston at 2am!) after a long night of wearing my highest of heels. I have recently resorted to not even looking at heels over 3 inches, yes it is hard. That has helped my cause but I still find myself wanting to rip them off by midnight. So after reading a Rachel Zoe blog post on these little guys I had wished I thought of this fantastic idea! Instead I usually find the biggest bag I can stand to hold all night and stuff a pair of my own flats in their for later. How cute are these?

NYC trip

After the longest week of my life we were set to head to NYC for the weekend to visit friends who were in town. New York City has never been somewhere I dream about going. I am more of a small city girl (hence why I live in Boston). Don't get my wrong, I, of course love all things fashion so it is always tempting but by Sunday I could not wait to get out! We opted for the Bolt Bus so we could save some money instead of spending over $300 on Amtrak! My first time on a bus to the city proved to be ok. It was quiet, skewed an age group right around ours, mid-late 20's, some 30ish peeps. It was a long trip, but fairly quiet. Once we arrived we quickly navigated our way through the city to our friend's apartment on the west side of Mid-town ( god, I sound like I know what I am talking about!). Let's just say finding that apartment was not as easy as it sounds! Anyways we rushed to get ready as my cousins were waiting for us at a bar by Penn Station, called Stout. It was a fairly quiet bar, some good music playing the background, we had a nice little seated area to ourselves. We caught up had a few drinks and they all headed home fairly early, as they had to catch trains out of the city. We stayed, drank more and decided to order the Chicken burger with guacamole (such a good idea for a burger!) and delicious hand cut fries! Yum.

On Saturday we had a good breakfast at a local diner then headed into Times Square for a drink before the Rock of Ages show.  The hotel had a surprising swanky bar with a Ahmazing view!

The show was actually pretty good, funny, great music (of course!) and maybe just a tad too long, but overall still good for someone who is not a musical- type of person! The remainder of the weekend included a filling dinner and some late-night dancing!

Christian Siriano for Payless

Wait- before you skip over this one, just check out the shoes below. I am not one for payless typically, I have probably been in the store maybe twice in my life and once was for part of a Halloween costume. That being said I was reading one of my many blogs last week and come across an ad for these:

See? I told you to wait! How cute are these? Faux lizard upper with gold piping? Looooove. So I decided to pop in at lunch after convincing my co-worker. Unfortunately, they didn't have a good selection at the one I went to, I did manage to find one pair that I bought, on sale for 27.99, originally priced at 34.99. Mine were black:
I am hoping the are comfy- they seemed a little hard on the sides so we will see! My feet have really gone through everything for fashion so I am sure they will survive after a few brisk walks to the T! To view the entire collection go here.
To faux or not to faux?

I am all about saving the animals so I have never bought real fur in my life. The concept of Faux fur has always been around but I had always though, super cheese, everyone will know it is a fake. Then, I discovered the Faux fur collection at Piperlime.com and completly did a 180. Georgeous, detailed faoux fur vests. I die. Oh, and also amzing mini fur coats which will be perfect for the upcoming Holiday party season!

Now, which one will you choose??
